Slip Dress : wear it like the 'It' girls do

What's not to love in a slip dress? They are feminine. They are delicate. And boy! are they sexy. The only problem? They are not college/work appropriate.Or are they? *wink wink*
Fashionistas all around the globe are giving us major fashion inspiration these days by wearing their slip dresses over a tee.Go through instagram/pinterest and your feed will be flooded with this trend.I say, the boss is always right.I took inspiration from this trend and paired my black slip dress with a white tee(the classic) and this is how it turned out.

I wore my black dress over a white tee.You can also wear it over a striped one.

I experimented a little with the look by wrapping a plaid shirt around my waist. You can also tie a chambray shirt.Let it stand out from the base colours (white and black).

Looks like we are not getting over the chokers anytime soon, are we?

White sneakers are another huge trend taking over the fashion world at present. You will see them everywhere;with jeans, with shorts, with dresses and even skirts.

I finished off the look with this printed box clutch and round shades.

It's going to be a long, long summer.I say you should definitely get your hands on one of these dresses. And you need not even worry about these being too revealing.Just layer them over your favourite tee and make heads turn while you stay in comfort.
Until next time,
XOXO,

Rituparna

Keep calm and geek on

I'm a geek who loves fashion. There's been a reinvention of the word geek. It means being passionate about anything that's under the radar or sort of frowned upon, like Comic-Con. Kristen BellThere's something about geek fashion that i absolutely love.Nerdy glases, blazers, ties and sneakers- I am in love with anything that involves any of these. If I had to define geek fashion in one word, it has to be SEXY ! Gosh ! those things are hot.

So this time I wore a black T shirt dress that has 'Feminism' written on it.Now, I am feminist AF.And before you judge me for being anti men or something, let me make it clear.I am a true feminist. You know, the ones who actually believe in gender equality. The ones who split the bills. The ones who give up their seats for the elderly or the disabled, irrespective of their sexes.

Okay coming to my outfit.I paired my T shirt dress with a longline shrug, a fishnet stockings, and white flatform sneakers. And oh! my very nerdy glasses.  Ha…

OOTD : How to wear a trench coat this winter

Best thing about winters? TRENCH COATS ! Oh my god, they look so damn classy.I wish I had one in every colour.Actually I think I would have got them all if only they weren't so pricey 😦😦.But it is definitely worth owning at least one since they are never going out of style; nor can you ever be too old to wear one.

Before I come to my outfit post,I have a few tips for you to keep in mind while buying a trench coat that suits you the best.
According to your shape  If you are top heavy avoid anything bulky like heavy collars or embellishments or huge buckles. Also look for single breast coats to avoid looking too big.If you are generously blessed on the bottom half of your body, look for straight coats that are longer and do not fall midway or just below your hips(that is going to make you look bigger on the bottom). If you have a tiny bosom, look for trench coats that define your waist and have big collars.Double breast coats will flatter you.If you are leaner down the waist, wea…
